Health visitors
Specialist public-health nursing support for families from pregnancy until a child starts school.
Health visitors support parents, carers, babies and young children. They can advise on child development, feeding, sleep, behaviour, school readiness, safety, minor ailments, immunisations and the wellbeing of the whole family.
When you will hear from the team
The health visiting service normally makes contact during pregnancy and again after your baby is born. Further reviews and support are arranged according to the national child-health programme and your family’s needs.
